I
graduated from Laurentian University in 2005 with a B.Sc. (Honours) in
Biology. I am currently enrolled in Laurentian
University/ScienceNorth's Science Communication Program. As part of the
program I have completed an internship with Natural
Resources Canada at the Great Lakes Forestry Centre
in Sault Ste.
Marie, Ontario. As part of my internship I was a part of a team that
deigned an exhibition to showcase the research and activities that take
place in the centre. I also had the opportunity to write several

Research interests within the Science Communication Program:
- how people learn in informal settings
- the effect that competition has on the way people learn
- effectiveness of communication programs for the public understanding of science
Future career interests include:
- exhibit development
- public awareness and understanding of science
- program development, implementation and evaluation
My personal interests are varied and include:
- curling
- slo-pitch
- reading
- crochet
- photography
