I am intrigued by faults especially large scale faults. |
I
am currently a graduate student in Science Communication programme at
Laurentian University.
I studied geology at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec.
I have, also studied Computer Science at Laurentian
University. I chose to study
Science Communication because I have always been interested in sciences
as well as humanity and literatue and finally I found a subject, which
combines the three subjects.
Subjects, which interest me the most in science communication are: rhetoric, science news, especially those which are not reported in the mainstream media, and risk communication. |

Research Project:
Content analysis of risk communciation during the SARS outbreak in Ontario
In summer of 2003, the health officials of Ontario were faced with dealing with an outbreak of SARS, Sever Acute Respiratory Syndrome. In my final project for the Science Communication programme, I am analyzing the content of the official communications pieces the health official of Ontario produced. I am specifically analyzing the rhetorical aspects of the risk communication of the communication pieces.
Internship:
This spring I will be doing an internship with the Sudbury District Health Unit. I am looking forward to producing communication pieces about different health issues.
