Tuition Fees

The tuition fee for the program is $6414 for Canadian students (based on 2008-09 fees). This includes incidental fees of about $220 for the Student Health Plan, use of the Athletics facilities, and Graduate Student Association fee. International students should contact Laurentian International (http://international.laurentian.ca/) for information about tuition fees (approximately $12,000 Canadian) and visa requirements. 


Financial Aid

All students in the program are normally eligible for a Graduate Teaching Assistantship / Graduate Fellowship worth $6950. The awards are designed partially as employment (54%) and partially as a Fellowship (46%). Students receiving a GTA/GF are required to work up to 10 hours per week in some form of research assistance.  


Scholarships

All applicants to the Science Communication program are eligible for entrance scholarships ranging in value from $1250 to $2500.

Your application to the program serves as an automatic application for a scholarship.  All applicants will be considered.


Living Expenses

You can count on being in Sudbury for ten to eleven months. If you choose to do your internship in another city, you will be leaving in early April for 8 weeks to complete the placement.
